What is us gilloise beerschot?

Us Gilloise Beerschot is a Belgian professional football club based in Brussels which was formed in 2013 following the merger of R. Racing Club de Bruxelles and K Beerschot AC. The team plays in the Belgian First Division A and wears black and white striped kits. The club's home ground is the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.

The history of the two clubs that merged to form the team had differing success, with Racing Club de Bruxelles having won ten Belgian championships between 1896 and 1914 while Beerschot AC had won seven championships between 1922-1938. The merger was an attempt to restore top-flight football in the city after a decline of the two clubs.

Us Gilloise Beerschot has a passionate fan base, with the Derby de Bruxelles against Anderlecht being the biggest rivalry, and the fans celebrate their team with the chant "John is our King" in honor of their legendary striker, John Cordier.

In terms of achievements, the club has not won a major trophy since the merger but has finished in the top six of the Belgian First Division A on several occasions, qualifying for European competitions. The team has also produced several notable players, including Saint-Etienne goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier, and Inter Milan midfielder Radja Nainggolan, who began his career at the club.
